“Our stay at Kim's main house could not have been better! The property itself is beautiful Kim and Greg maintain the most beautiful garden and guests are welcome to walk around the grounds. The house is incredibly well decorated and very comfortable for our group of 6. The location of the house could not be better either. Everything that we wanted to see and do around VA was about 30-minutes from the house and the roads there and back are simply gorgeous. I cannot thank Kim enough for being such a responsive and communicative host! We will certainly be back.”

“What an utterly delightful getaway. If anything, the photos understate what a restful, cozy, and well-appointed place HeartRock is! Our kids loved the reading and sleeping nooks; we loved the spacious master bed/bath and the stocked kitchen. Our favorite moments included morning coffee on the porch, exploring the garden and property, and befriending (or, rather, being quickly befriended by) Bilbo the cat.”

“Kim's place was amazing and we had the best time! Not only is Kim an incredible host, but she is also an amazing and kind person. She was so welcoming and thoughtful throughout our entire stay. The property is also beautiful and so much fun to explore! Our children loved meeting the goats, Aslan (the dog), and of course Bilbo the cat! And wandering through the garden was such a treat!
We spent our first day hiking at James River Park, a simple 30min drive, and then enjoyed a beautiful evening watching and listening to thunderstorms from under the covered porch. Our second day started with an adventurous wander to the rivers behind the property and ended with an afternoon at Woodbridge Brewery, an easy 20min drive.
The cottage was fresh and clean, and the beds were super comfortable! Plus it's pet-friendly and our doggo loved being with us. :) We loved our stay and definitely plan to be back!”

“Kim was the best host we've had anywhere! She was so warm and kind and made us feel like we were visiting family. She answered all our questions about everything (and we had a lot..about trash, recycling, kayaking, late check-out, cooking and more!). She took us out kayaking on the river and transported us and our things without any extra charge. She saw we were a bit nervous and rode down the river with us to guide and show us how it was done. The house was sparkling clean and the coziest place ever. The kitchen was amazing with all sorts of spices, pots, pans and plates. The yard, farm, treehouse and forest around the house are magical where we hung out with the very friendly dogs, cat, and goats! Thanks Kim for a beautiful time”

Kim and Greg’s place is a one of a kind gem! You won’t find more caring attentive hosts anywhere. They go out of their way to take care of their guests and make their experience truly special and memorable. The land itself is absolutely beautiful. They have lovingly built amazing gardens and have special touches all throughout the land. We rented their space for a large group and would book again in a heart beat. If you want an all around 5 star experience, this is it.
